A special moment for Latvian triathlon is coming.

On 13 September 2026, our athlete Artjoms Gajevskis will take to the start line of the World Triathlon Championship Series (WTCS) Karlovy Vary – the highest level of international triathlon.

The WTCS is the flagship elite series of World Triathlon, bringing together the strongest triathletes in the world. This year’s men’s start list in Karlovy Vary features 55 athletes, including leading names from the international triathlon scene.

And among them Latvia.

For Artjoms, this is a huge step in his sporting career and an incredible opportunity to compete at the highest level, test himself against the world’s best and show what Latvian triathlon is capable of.

Reaching a start of this level is the result of years of hard work: countless hours of training, thousands of kilometres, early mornings, difficult sessions, setbacks, victories and, most importantly, the determination to keep moving forward.

For Triatlona Akadēmija, this is a very special moment. We are incredibly proud to see our athlete step onto one of the biggest stages in world triathlon.
